I think i might go back to work tonite to help with putting out Christmas stuff. Ironically so i can have more money to buy christmas stuff.

Tis the season for overworking.

Anyway, still don't have a halloween costume yet. Hopefully after rent and stuff i'll actually have enough money to come up with something tomorrow or friday for the lawrence st. party. Anyone have any ideas?

so, i guess by now we were supposed to be in the mist of huricanes, or tropical storms, or whatever. But it turned out to be a pretty nice nite.

A pretty nice nite in general, actually.

I'm gonna be sooo tired at work tomorrow.

So thanksgiving was a pretty good time. Spent a good deal of time with my parents playing scrabble. Got really drunk on the saturday. How drunk? Well, let's just say that the bouncers at the casino don't accept bank cards as a valid id. The next nite we played the all-ages show, which went pretty well, and finally got to play at the afterparty!That was a blast, especially when horseface got on stage and we started doing the impromptu soul number. Hysterics galore!!

The pop explosion was alright. Usually one band will blow me away. Who would have thought it would be a local band, 'cause special special noise blew me away!! The melgrove band were really great on saturday as well.

And the seahorse must learn to THUROUGHLY COOK their pizza. Not cool.

Anyway, not much else to report. Work is work. Tolerable the second time around. The band's supposed to start recording on sunday, though we haven't really practised for it yet. But then, if we did we wouldn't be sketchy. And what i laughingly refer to as my personal life is actually pretty ok at the moment. I did spend waaay to much money drinking and eating out since my b'day, which i certainly have to cut back on. But i had a good time, and the break from doing anything was quite enjoyable. And since i'm back to work i should cut back on going out on weekdays.

Discipline in the face of watching bands and drinking is certainly not my strongest suit.

So yeah, things are pretty ok.
Pretty ok is good.
Certainly much better than fucking fucked.

I know. Major updating tomorrow.
Now i will head to sleep.

Gonna be heading home in about a half an hour. Haven't been home in a while, so, it should be fun. Especially since we're playing the big gobblefest show on sunday.

And the afterparty is always...interesting.

I'm going to be a supervisor.
And, from the way they discribe it, it involves less work than i had before. Little bit more responsibility, but yeah, not as much crazy running around. And i'll have all day shifts.

I think i might be alright with this.

I will be starting on Tuesday, giving me a bit more time to enjoy my freedom.

Oh, and one more thing:

Spincyle begins recording on Oct. 23rd!!!

This makes me happy!

Spent a nice sober nite listening to some good music and thinking about stuff.
You know what, kids? I can't do this.

I can't knowingly go into a job that i know i'm going to hate. And really, in the time that it took to read off one survey, that's what i got out of it. And if all that i can find out there is a job that i immediately hate from the get-go...

...well then i might as well go back to Canadian Tire.
Which is what i'm doing.
