I think the first time i saw Change of Heart was in '93. They were opening for Furnaceface at the Capri. I had heard of furnaceface before ("if you love her, buy her a gun.."), but not these guys. Not Change of Heart. And they blew me away. The intensity and emotion he put into playing...and he looked like he was having the time of his life. In a shitty little bar in Cape Breton. Rocking out. It wasn't long after that exclaim and chart and other mags said what i knew from that day.
Change of Heart was the best live band in Canada.
Tonite he's playing with his new band, C'mon, at the seahorse. I'm getting there at ten just to make sure it doesn't sell out before i get there. It's gonna rock!!
